This book was so much more than amazing， I started this the same day and finished the same day cause I couldn’t stop reading it。 I was so wrapped up in their world and the relationships that developed。 I was intrigued by her powers and what she could do。 I was so interested to see what happend next。 I can’t believe I finished this already。 It went by fast and I’m already headed to the next one。 I am in love with this series。

”The truth is a painful reminder of why I prefer to live among the lies。” 3。5 starsUnpopular opinion incoming: I liked Shatter Me better。I know I should have expected it going into a YA dystopian series from 2013， but I am not a fan of the “rebellion” trope。 I’ve seen it done so many times—running away from the evil government to go hide in the rebel’s secret base and then preparing to overthrow that government。I quite frankly find it boring， and I think it made this book a little less appealabl ”The truth is a painful reminder of why I prefer to live among the lies。” 3。5 starsUnpopular opinion incoming: I liked Shatter Me better。I know I should have expected it going into a YA dystopian series from 2013， but I am not a fan of the “rebellion” trope。 I’ve seen it done so many times—running away from the evil government to go hide in the rebel’s secret base and then preparing to overthrow that government。I quite frankly find it boring， and I think it made this book a little less appealable than the first one for that reason。But despite all that， I found myself enjoying Unravel Me quite a bit anyway。⚠️ WARNING！ ⚠️ There will be spoilers for both Shatter Me and Unravel Me in the review below。I want to start off by addressing the fact that apparently I like Warner now？ By the end of the first book I was very firm in my love for Adam， and my hatred for Warner。 I had suspected that this book would try to take that opinion and flip it but I really wasn’t expecting it to work。In this book， we get to see a peak into Warner’s history—his abusive father， his ailing mother and his apparent relatedness to Adam and James。 （Which I totally predicted by the way。）But just because I’m starting to like Warner a little more， he didn’t erase my love for Adam。 I think that Adam deserved so much better。 It seemed like he was just brushed under the rug as soon as Warner entered the picture。 I do think that Warner and Juliette have chemistry， but I think the same is true with Adam and Juliette。 I shipped them so incredibly hard in the first book， and even now I still love them together。I thought it was so annoying how the second Juliette found out she couldn’t touch him anymore she broke up with him and starting going after Warner， who was the only other person who could touch her。It makes Juliette seem like such a cheap character。 I can understand how frustrating it could be to be in her situation， but it feels as if she’s basing her romantic feelings on whether or not people can touch her or not。 I really hope this issue is addressed in the next book， because it’s one of the reasons my enjoyment was so hindered in this one。Overall， I’m really enjoying this series and I’m excited to get to the next book！ I just love the characters and relationships in this book so much， but there a few issues that I have with them that I hope will be resolved throughout the rest of the series。 。。。more

I’ll admit， at the beginning of the book I found Juliette annoying。 She was really ungrateful。 I know， I know， you can’t touch anyone but one person （technically two） but still。 Her life was a MAJOR upgrade from being held captive all alone。 It wasn’t until Kenji talked to her about her behavior to make her realize how childish she was being。 And even then， it took a little bit for her to fully become grateful of her situation; and furthermore stop depending on Adam。 Don’t get me wrong， Adam is I’ll admit， at the beginning of the book I found Juliette annoying。 She was really ungrateful。 I know， I know， you can’t touch anyone but one person （technically two） but still。 Her life was a MAJOR upgrade from being held captive all alone。 It wasn’t until Kenji talked to her about her behavior to make her realize how childish she was being。 And even then， it took a little bit for her to fully become grateful of her situation; and furthermore stop depending on Adam。 Don’t get me wrong， Adam is fine， but she had NO reason to depend on him as much as she did in the beginning。 I was like， “Girl！ Get out of your comfort zone， make some new friends， and stop whining about everything！”。 But， Kenji ended up telling her for me。 Thank god he did， because I would have been too fed up to finish the book。 But， still it was amazing。 You find yourself rooting for Warner in this， and putting yourself in the shoes of him。 Anyways， 10/10， despite Juliette being annoying at the beginning lol。 。。。more
